Uwaaaah...! That's totally disgusting!

[But, of course, that's said with awe and admiration rather than any actual disgust. She's gonna lean even more to see that drawing of himself spewing everywhere, her eyes pretty much sparkling from both how fast he drew it and just how detailed it is.]

Rohan-chan's stomach turned against him!? That's so weird! That's so weird!
It's so weird, Ibuki's starting to repeat herself!!

Can you draw your legs turning into a tail, too!? Sewing themselves together, like you said!?

[It's late afternoon when Anna comes to find Rohan in his library. She's in a good mood, as per usual; a lot of her small worries about turning into a goblin have slowly melted away as she's learned to accept that this is how things will be. The last fog was easier than the first, and it's the reason Anna is here now. She's got something to show Rohan that she thinks he'll quite like.

She's picked out one of the backless dresses from her wardrobe, with a dainty halter neck that skirts her shoulder spikes neatly.]

Rohan! Look what grew in last night!

[She turns around, a graceful spin as she enters the library proper, and shows off the tiny purple wings that have sprouted from her back. It was quite painful, but now that they're out, Anna's pretty sure they're actually quite fetching.]

[ The afternoon has been quiet and Rohan has been thumbing through some of the texts that came with the castle which he had never touched. Map books, monster books, half-written history books... Some he can't even read.

Anna, of course, bounds in and he draws one of them to his chest with wide-eyes in a blink. ]

Well, look at that... [ He slinks over to her and delicately touches at one of the little purple wings. They're like Josuke's but less out of place. Likely because she is a girl and the Faerie Reject thing is in right now. ] Did they hurt? I didn't hear anything. How do they feel?

[Anna watches expectantly over her shoulder as Rohan inspects her new acquisition. She's rather pleased to see that they don't make him frown, at least. She offers him a sheepish smile.]

Well...yes. But only for a little while. [He'll be able to see that the skin around them is tender and red, still. It had been a bit disturbing, the way her skin had bulged and swollen up before the sharp points of each wing sliced through and unfurled.]

It was last night. I tried to keep quiet so I wouldn't disturb anyone...

Not screaming is always appreciated in this house...

[ If that's the case, she handled it well. ]

Can you wiggle them? I know wings on goblins don't work but it's cute to see them flutter.

Yes, yes, let me see here... [ He falls silent as he goes about his business just drawing a little panel of himself waking up to his legs woven in on themselves with a mess of scales that start to taper painfully at his knees and thighs which are sloughing off to the bone. ]

And goodness when Jotaro scales came in, I had to flay his skin off with a knife and my venom...!

[He'd suggest the lake, but after the last time he was at the lake with Rohan Kishibe he doesn't much feel like it. He's trying to get back to the point where water is something soothing and safe for him again; it's like that now, but every once in a while he'll remember the sensation of drowning and suddenly his entire mood will flip in the worst way. He isn't going to risk that turning his trip bad.]

and the workshop isn't exactly neutral

[She'd had to muffle her cries with a pillow, but she hadn't woken anyone up, and it all turned out just fine in the end, didn't it?

She nods enthusiastically and, with a little concentration, sets them to fluttering gently.]

Do you like them? I think they're sort of...cute!

[Ibuki's quiet as long as Rohan is, satisfied with just watching him draw... and manages to resist the temptation to just take the picture away from him when he's done.
But she does let out some sort of excited squeal, at least.]

This is the best...! The best!! Rohan-chan could be the Super High School Level Horror Illustrator, if he was high school age! And also went to Hope's Peak!
Why did you have to take off his skin? Was it not coming off on its own? Were the scales sticking through and acting like gross little pins!?

Ugugugu... just trying to imagine it is blowing Ibuki's mind...!!

[And then an idea seems to hit Ibuki out of nowhere, even making her jump a bit like her own brain startled her.]

Wait, wait... can...
Can you draw Ibuki as a snake!? You could do that, couldn't you!?
Rohan-chan's talents are SKY HIGH, so Ibuki's certain you could!

[ Two radically different sides of the coin somehow. ]

It wasn't coming off enough to accommodate how his scales were coming through. It was one set of skin converging with another... [ He blinks at her, eyelashes fluttering when she states what she wants. ]

Draw you as a naga? Let me... See...

[ Shutting one eye, he tries to visualize what he can-- it doesn't take long. What takes shape on the next page is indeed a snake. In black and white, he has to simulate any colors she might have. Blue and pink scales intermingled on a black backdrop of noodly body. With her mouth open, she bares fangs as long as one's fingers, curved and dropped down just as his do when he's upset. Her hair is still there but it has become almost sentient. It fans out and rises like a makeshift hood to accompany and amplify the glowing from her eyes and the radical, wide-armed and claws-out pose she is sporting. ]

What do you think of this?

[In an over-dramatic fashion, Ibuki's hands fly to her cheeks, and she can't help wiggling in place seeing it. It's like he just told her she won the lottery or something...
But then again, he did just draw her as a giant snake monster.]

You captured Ibuki's badassery perfectly in such a short amount of time...!
Even though it's in black and white, Ibuki can imagine all the colors perfect, too!

You are seriously blowing Ibuki's mind over here...! She's getting all DOKIDOKI about this rad talent of Rohan-chan's!!

[ He needs to invest in a panic button with his coins so he can push it and summon Jotaro or somebody to pry this girl off of him. He ends up tilting all about, flapping an arm in the process. ]

Careful-- [ He lets out an exasperated whine. ] Do you want it? [ As his tail slips around to tug at her skirt to cue her OFF OF HIM. TUG. ] If you would like to keep it, you can. If it brings you so much entertainment, I can't just let it fester in my book...

[Silly Rohan, pulling at her skirt isn't enough to remove Ibuki! Though, she'll let go of him anyway.
Because she wants to take the picture instead, nodding her head vigorously in excitement.]

Yeah, yeah! IdoIdoIdo!!
Ibuki has to show Sonia-chan and Hiyoko-chan, of course! And hang it up somewhere in my room!
But, but! It's not entertainment, it's joy! Ibuki will cherish her special Rohan-chan Original featurin herself for a really long time, y'know?
Stuff like this is really special...!

[Look, Ibuki doesn't get gifts often. She waaaants it.]

[It's surreal- not necessarily because of how quickly Rohan snaps into action but because of the expression he takes on as he hurries over. For just a moment, he suddenly seems more like a gently scolding parent or older sibling than Rohan Kishibe.

But he smiles in spite of himself, nudging the tail patting his back aside so that he can head over to the bed of his own accord. He's walking and talking just fine- it's just the emotional wounds that might take some time to heal up.]

I'm fine. Nothing's leaking or about to fall off just yet, nurse. [Carefully so as not to make his stiff muscles work too hard, he perches on the edge of the bed.] I think the worst was over when I fucking died.

Alright, alright. Take it down a notch, Mioda. [ Because that rush of energy has made him a little woozy. ]

It makes me glad that you like it so much. [ she's not a KID but she acts like one. ] I don't do little commissions like these except for a handful of people. [ READ: The underground group of humans who have a monster fetish. ]

[What do you mean she's not a kid, Ibuki's clearly just a giant toddler.
Case in point: she sticks out her tongue with a grumble when told to take it down a notch.
She's going to anyway, because Rohan is cool and doesn't seem like he'd be very fun when annoyed, but that doesn't mean she has to like it.

... Which mostly means being more still and talking a little quieter. A little.]

Less sentimental? No way - Ibuki treasures anything she gets from her friends, y'know?
Like these earrings! Ibuki's never gonna take them off! Except to, like, sleep and stuff.
But any other time, they're permanent attachments and should be considered part of Ibuki's unique style!

And likewise, Rohan-chan's artwork is gonna hang in Ibuki's room for as long as she's here. I'll write a note about it and everything!
If people come and go and lose memories so much, then Ibuki's gotta make sure she always remembers who it's from!

[Yeah, just straight up calls him her friend, whether he agrees or not. Sorry man, friendship ain't a two way street with Ibuki.]

[ A-Aw... If that didn't get him right in the doki. She might even be pulling a real smile out of him. He likes flattery. He's more prone to it than ever. But it's not the superficial kind. It sounds like she means what she says. ]

Mm... [ He doesn't argue and just nods his head. ] That isn't a bad idea. I don't know if I have met anybody here who has lost any memories. I certainly hope I never do. [ Because there's one thing... ]

Memories are highly important to me. Myself and others. Back at home, I had a power that I no longer have here. [ WELL HE DOES BUT IT'S... NOT THE SAME AT ALL HERE. ] I have the ability to read the memories of any person I meet. I can read everything from their birth to the present. I can remove them if I feel like it to use as material for my writing but in all honesty I believe that memories are the most important things a person can have.

[ it's also a little inappropriate to mention the BODY HORROR THINGS his Stand can do. or that he would TAKE MEMORIES WITHOUT CONSENT. ]

I can't say that I have always been respectful in the past but they are things that I feel should be held very dear.

[ also at the moment right now he can trigger the most traumatic event in your lifetime and make it happen Live From This Room. ]

[Yeah please don't do that, she doesn't need to remember literally any of her traumatic events.

But hearing that, Ibuki goes... uncharacteristically quiet, listening to everything Rohan says and even staying silent for a couple of moments after.
Almost like she's being... serious.
She's taking this seriously.

It could be because he's talking about trespassing into someone else's memories. Or how he's mentioned stealing them from people for his own use.]

[... But nah, it's neither of those; after a moment, she can't help her smile drooping into something more nervous, looking up at the ceiling instead of at Rohan.]

Well, y'know... Ibuki can't really feel the same about that. 'Cause she's so bad at remembering things...
If Ibuki doesn't write things down, she can completely forget what she planned on doing an entire day! It can be really fun; Ibuki makes a game of it, called "Will I Get There?"
I just leave the house and go wherever the wind takes me, and sometimes I end up somewhere real neato! Ibuki tried that here, and found a shop that sells fake monster parts!

... But, since memories are kind of fleeting, y'know, it means Ibuki doesn't need them that much, either. Sometimes there's stuff worth forgetting, anyway!
In Ibuki's honest and real opinion, it's better to live in the moment!

Aaaaaand, this is an important milestone for Rohan-chan, too! 'Cause Ibuki's apparently lost a lot of memories, and not just because she forgets things so easily!

[She'll just eek that in there at the end of what she's saying, yep.]

[ Her hesitation he can catch on her face. There is more to Ibuki than the obnoxious glee thing she has been putting on.

No, she's actually like this but it does a nice stunt. He appreciates this random 17-year old girl for what she is. Or what she appears to be. None of it seems fake. Her smile droops but his grows a little, eyelids falling slack. It's a real smile that only shows the beginnings of his teeth. His chin is resting on his hand it's like listening to Jotaro when he talks about something stupid or when he's playing him music. ]

There are things that are worth forgetting. They no longer apply to anything. And they likely won't ever apply here. You can make a new batch of them forever in any way you wish. If you need my drawings to document that, then by all means, Ibuki.

Maybe! Maybe they won't apply here, maybe they will.
Ibuki will deal with it as it comes!

[Specifically: if Mikan ever shows up here... how is she gonna deal with that? She has no idea.
But Ibuki really does appreciate him offering his drawings like that.
After all, she has a hard enough time remembering to write down things to remember!

Drawings from people who actually have working memories sound so much more useful.]
