[So he may have had a talk with a certain blue brother of his... and he may or may not still hold resentments towards Rohan but maybe something got to him during that conversation or maybe he's just tired of fighting all the time.. who knows.

Either way, he is going to give him a chance whether Rohan wants one or not.]

[ And by that he means in EXACTLY an hour Osomatsu will have a uniform three knocks on the front door rattling him to attention. Rohan doesn't fuck around with times and dates so he is on the ball for this.

Looking down his nose, chin up, shoulders back, and eyelids sharply at half-mast, this is what Osomatsu will be greeted with. Exactly the stuffy, tight-ass snake in makeup he should have expected. ]

[When Osomatsu hears the knocks on the door, he sets whatever he had in his hands down -- namely, a bag of chips -- and makes his way leisurely to the front door. The voice he hears on the other side is.. familiar not exactly what he'd expect from Rohan, and he makes note of that as he slides the front door open with a curious glance more than anything else.


...oh he looks different than he'd expect too. A lot younger, anyway.]

You know, referring to me as "Matsuno" when there's six of us is probably gonna get confusing.

[He says that as he steps back to let Rohan inside.]

Thank you for the invitation, Osomatsu. [ Just don't slide the door on his tail when he slinks in. It's a cute little house. He looks around to put time into appreciating it. ]

This house reminds me of my grandmother's inn at home. Very traditional, quiet. I wouldn't have expected something so pretty when I hear about what a madhouse this place can be.

I had my skepticisms around coming here myself. I know that you and I-- and several of your other brothers --don't see eye to eye. It's best to make peace and stay together for the kids.

[Osomatsu says that a little under his breath but definitely loud enough for Rohan to hear, as he waits for all of him to get inside before sliding the door shut.]

This was our parents home though, it's been around since at least the 60's.

I dunno how that Mono person did it but she replicated it down to the stains in the carpet! Pretty cool, huh?

[ The naga scoffs and casts a glance over his shoulder. ]

Mana. I wouldn't be proud of the stains on my carpet. Such a thing would be penalized at my castle. [ says the guys with the actual bathtub full of fermenting bodies. ]

I'm guessing that this is going to be a getting to know you activity with a twist. I'm not actually able to eat anything that isn't a liquid, so I'm afraid I cannot buffer my alcohol...

[Osomatsu's just gonna walk ahead of Rohan, leading him into the family den which is connected to the kitchen. He'll see there's already a bunch of snacks piled up on the table there... a couple of six packs of beer... he was Prepared.

Apparently not prepared for Rohan to tell him that he can't eat anything that isn't a liquid, though.]

Hahh? So you don't eat meat? Don't snakes like... swallow food whole though?

[ Aw, all of this for him?? ]

Many do, but not me. I liquify my meals with my venom. I can't handle solid food. It just... Comes back up again. [ Sexy. ] Speaking of Mana, I was human for a month a while back and as it turns out I STILL couldn't eat anything that wasn't a milkshake.

[ Rohan doesn't follow too closely. Those Manticore wings and all. ]

I realized that I do not miss being a human at all.

[Osomatsu can't help but make a face at Rohan's description... both of how solid food just can't stay down and also the mere concept of food milkshakes in general.]

I mean, I wouldn't miss it either if I still had to live off of liquid food.

[He'll just venture into the kitchen then to see if maybe he has a drink at least that's non alcoholic...]

[ Rohan isn't one to tiptoe around what he wants to talk about. Mincing it was never meant to happen. ]

I don't think so. I had forgotten how to walk in the first place. It was just a lot of falling over and over again. I have had it said to me that it was Mana's fault that it happened that way...

However, I don't look at it as anything except an evolutionary hazard. We lose thing. Over time, we forget them because we don't need them anymore. It's nothing that anybody did except for, well, me being a snake for so long. I can do everything I want to do with this modified body of mine, so I see no reason to be upset about any of it.

Does that make sense?

No, not really.

[Whether Osomatsu was even listening fully is up to Rohan's decision.. though honestly he does get it a little bit. Rohan got so used to being a snake that he didn't need to be human anymore... or at least that's what he thinks he's saying.

Either way, he pops open the fridge and pulls out a bottle of chilled black tea he immediately notices in there (probably Choromatsu's), and he returns to his guest with bottle and cup in hand.]

But like.. even past all that don't you miss looking how you used to before?

[He asks this as he sets these two items on the table, before taking a seat at it himself on a cushion on the floor.]

[ SITTING ON THE FLOOR IS DIFFICULT because he's always sitting.

Is Rohan standing????? Is he sitting????? What is he doing??

For now he follows suit by the table and coils up with his elbows resting upon one of his coil rings. ]

I don't look that different. The scales on my face and the whole bit where I lost my eyebrows is about it. I miss some of the clothes I used to wear, but I have made replicas since. I am just one of those people who learned to adapt quickly. I have always had to.

It's why I paint, draw, run a store, do commission work, and run a household all at once. I don't believe in coasting through situations. It is actively adapting and keeping myself ahead of the game.

[ The tea smells nice. So he reaches for it. ]

[...for some reason, he feels like Rohan's telling him something by saying all of this. He's actually listening though, surprisingly looking as though he's paying attention. He gives a couple of nods at the end of Rohan's small explanation, and reaches to grab a beer and pop it open.]

So you're like Choromatsu.

[Osomatsu'll just take a nice chug from the can with a satisfied "pahhhh" afterwards, before he wipes off his mouth on his sleeve and gets back to the conversation at hand.]

He's always nagged us about getting jobs and moving out and whatever else... kinda felt like he needed to be responsible even though we literally had no reason to at home.

I have had this conversation with Karamatsu before. [ He points out while setting himself up with a cup of tea.

Which he has given up on with his hands. All of this is done with his tail, daintily picking up and pouring and bringing it to his own hands without spilling it. It's like a third hand. ]

I feel that somebody in every household needs to be the spur in the sides of the others. Regardless, this isn't about jobs or standards of living again. We were getting to know each other outside of that professional business, right?
